Peter I. Livingston graduated from Brooklyn Law School
in 1969 and is the firm's co-founder. He received a Master's Degree in
Tax Law in 1970 from New York University School of Law. Mr. Livingston
is admitted to practice law in both the State of New York and Washington,
D.C. as well as numerous Federal District Courts throughout the country.
Mr. Livingston specializes in the areas of real estate litigation, commercial
litigation, directors and officers liability issues, and defense of legal
malpractice claims. Prior to joining the firm, he was a senior partner
in the New York office of a 175-attorney firm which specialized in litigation.
He has been retained by both the FDIC and RTC to represent their interests
with respect to complex real estate foreclosure matters and related lender
liability issues. He has represented cooperative corporations and their
boards of directors in both State and Federal Court litigation. Mr. Livingston
is a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and the New
York State Bar Association Section on Litigation and a member of the Committee
on Condominiums and Cooperatives. Mr. Livingston frequently lectures and
writes on issues regarding cooperatives and condominiums. In addition,
he has served for over 10 years as a board member in the Manhattan cooperative
in which he resides.
