Morton H. Rosen graduated from New York University
Law School in 1962 and is the firm's founder. His practice consisted largely
of general real estate law, landlord-tenant litigation, commercial leasing
and related litigation until 1976, when he began to represent tenant groups
whose buildings were in the process of conversion. Thereafter he specialized
in the representation of cooperatives and condominiums. He has litigated
cases addressing many of the issues facing cooperatives today, and negotiated
on behalf of tenants during the conversion process and in the resolution
of shareholder and sponsor disputes. He lectures annually on cooperative
and condominium issues at the request of the Council of New York Cooperatives.
In addition, he is a member of the Committee on Condominiums and Cooperatives
of the New York State Bar Association. Mr. Rosen served as a board member
for four years in the Manhattan cooperative in which he resides.
